Bidrage med feedbackOmg! Best frikken pizza ever!! You can order the 5969 calorie/ thick crust style or Blue Collar/ New York style crust. I recommend the house special, it's so tasty!. I ordered mine without anchovy. It comes with pepper, meatballs, sausage, Canadian bacon, green peppers, onion, olives, mushrooms, pepperocini, and anchovies. It's worth every penny, you pay for it. I also ordered the mostaccioli with meat sauce, but I had the amazing pizza for dinner, and then breakfast this morning. So couldn't tell you how the pasta tastes?? They also sell garlic bread, salads, sandwiches, wings, side of meatball or sausage, pizza dough and sauce. It's a fun atmosphere, you can write on the walls?. There is plenty of parking, the staff were friendly.
Joe’s claims to be authentic East Village pizza, with pictures and newspaper articles, adoring the wall proclaiming so. I lived in the East Village, and have pretty much eaten at every pizza store in the East Village. I had high hopes going in, seeing as you have to enter from the back and the interior was a bit dilapidated, giving the impression that people come here for the food and vibe, not the decor. After getting my slice $5 for a plain btw), it was clear that this is no New York slice. It was thick and doughy, with barely any browning on the on the crust or bottom, and certainly no browning on the thick sheet of cheese. It seemed like a slice that had been out all day and insufficiently reheated. I’m not sure what style pizza this is, but it’s certainly not New York, and any New Yorker are coming here would agree. Maybe it was good 30 years ago, but if it was, it’s long gone. Anyway you slice it, it’s not great pizza.
As this is the THIRD TIME in a month and a half with multiple botches and screw ups TIME TO POST THIS REVIEW. DO NOT ORDER DELIVERY.While sweet, well meaning the management is NOT honorable. He will tell you 'About 30 minutes ' or 'About an hour '... and really they have ONE DRIVER so you MIGHT be stuck like I was 3 weeks ago calling in AN HOUR AND A HALF later asking where the heck is your dinner. The answer? Oh, yeah, sorry... but the driver is JUST LEAVING '.I 'm sorry WHAT? He hadn 't even left yet. Then, we have tonight. I live about 8 blocks from this location and during nights I have to work late, have (prior to covid enjoyed order a few sodas and desert.I ordered at 9:06 PM. One slice of cake, 4 diet cokes. NO COOKING. This requires about 2 minutes to put together, if that.By 9:52 PM NO DELIVERY. Again it was sodas and one slice of cake. I live 8 minutes away.Get the manager he puts me on hold and then comes back: Yeah, sorry bout that, but he just got back... but he 's gonna leave now... ????!!!MANAGEMENT OWNERSHIP: if you CAN 'T DELIVER 4 cans of soda 8 blocks away DON 'T LIE. Say straight up: Sorry, it 'll be over an hour. And DEFINITELY don 't give attitude when the Customer who has been loyal thru multiple other delivery screw ups finally expresses exasperation that YOU as a business are not honorable loyal.Thank you. Try Dominos or better yet Mulberry Street better food, same prices, and while they do charge a bit more for soda WORTH IT to get something on time and being treated with respect.Thank you.NOTE: After I posted my review within SECONDS the manager was calling my phone. Two calls in 1 minute. Fascinating how they couldn 't be bothered to remember my order for 45 minutes, yet after a truthful review, managed to find my phone number. The number of mistakes over the past year led to an ongoing slew of replacing beverages (they kept delivering the wrong sodas , or delivering the food completely mashed (I was fond of their cake slices, which are grossly overpriced $4.50 plus $3.00 delivery fee plus tax PLUS TIP for a small slice of cake. Not a bargain. yet the drivers would hand over the small box of cake completely mashed under cans of soda or squashed to one side. Sorry but for $6.00 all in not okay. So we went thru about 8 rounds re deliveries, small credits for missing soda, destroyed cake. Somehow after all this, we then wound up with 3 rounds of absurdly late un deliveries. All this does NOT entitle a business struggling to find staff to promise delivery times, not keep their word, and then be rude or defend bad behavior. It should in an ideal world be the opposite: they should strive to be honest with loyal customers to show all the dozens of 'I 'm sorry ' 's were actually sincere, and not more untruthfulness. And the prices in this already recession riddled economy! $24.00 for a tiny 12 cheese pizza that 's really $35 by the time you 've paid delivery fee, tax, and tip...Not. Worth. It.
Always delicious! Friendly staff and welcoming environment.
The service was great. They were very nice and friendly. The entrance is in the back by the parking lot.Not sure the vibe they are going for. There’s a ton of writing all over the walls which is cool but it also brings down the enjoyment factor. Some of the chairs are falling apart and flaking off on the seat. The pizza was good but it didn’t seem like the ingredients were fresh and the pizza was a bit too soft for my taste. It could have been cooked longer. The chicken sandwich was great. It was big and satisfying. The bread was crispy on the outside but still really soft.
