Bidrage med feedbackMy uncle and I came here. I had the traveler's log and he had the chaquileres. We both enjoyed our meals. The service from the staff was great. We will be coming back again.
I guess they're not used to people of color eating at their establishment. My niece and her family were in town for her daughter's dance competition in Frisco. So we decided to eat breakfast here 4/16/23. Upon our arrival their were two Caucasian families eating. Linda greated use with a very pleasant attitude. But she tried to seat us in the back. She passed at least 3 empty tables. I declined that table. And chose one up front. It's a shame Caucasian people still have that mindset in 2023. And to smooth it over, everyone that came in after that, she told them to sit where they want to sit. Needless to say, that was our first and last visit!
Staff is very friendly, lots of items on the menu the food is good and you get lots the portions are very large but prices are reasonable.
My husband and I went here for the first time this morning and loved it! There is a story about the history of the restaurant on each table and is truly a great story about the original.owner's family who lived in the Philippines and were taken into a Japenese camp during WWII where many people starved and died (including her father who served in the military himself). The original owner was a child in that horrible camp and wanted no one to go hungry again which may be part of the reason for the super large portions at the restaurant! The flapjacks were huge and everything we had was super tasty and priced well for the amount of food you get (we had a lot of leftovers). Miss Linda was our server and she was exactly the definition of true southern hospitality. We will definately be coming back.
Extensive collection of found art and cheap beer. Not much more to add, because it speaks for itself!
