Bidrage med feedbackOn our drive around Big Island, we found this sign of indian restaurant, that too indian vegetarian, we were all in to try that out. This is inside a food mall that contains more than 4 restaurant stalls. The seating arrangement is common and has restrooms as well. They had a very simple menu and were easy to order. We tried 2 ghee dosas, vegetable biryani, and curd rice. The prices are higher for the size of the dosas, but its Hawaii expected it to be higher. I have seen a lot of people trying the dosas, and they got attention. Coming to the taste of the food easily 5 star rating ans veg biryani is unique taste. The sambar and chutney were well made. Curd rice was the best of all. Overall, try this place and you will like it.
The Sambar here is undoubtedly the finest in the entire country! And, without a doubt, every other dish on the menu is absolutely exceptional. The Dosas, in particular, along with the Sambar Porial, truly satisfy the palate.
We live in Hilo and couldn't find place serving Dosa in Hilo side and finally discovered this place at international food court by Target. It's very weird location. We was here before Sunday late afternoon because information says Open lunch and closed for awhile and reopen at 5pm. So, we got here around 10 minutes to 5 and waiting waiting waiting... and never opened. What a f**k. And another time came by during lunch and finally we got food there. Very authentic Southern Indian food and I was so excited to get Dosa. It was really good but only problem was very pricey....
Chris is an amazing chef. I am an Indian and I have been looking for someone who can actually make a crispy dosa. I have been to countless Indian restaurants that can't make crispy Dosas. Finally, I found Dosa Grill. When I asked Chris to make the Dosa crispy, I wasn't expecting much. Boy, was I wrong and blown away. Chris is a Mexican who has learned how to make Dosas. I traveled all over looking for an Indian chef to make the perfect dosa and ended up finding a Mexican chef who did it where no Indian chef succeeded. Thank you Chris, can't wait to come back again for the crispy dosa.
If you are in Kona and missing desi food. This is your best option. It's in the food court and doesn't look promising but the food is good. I would go when I am in Kona again. It was very reaonabally priced as well.
