El Maguey - Kailua-Kona

This place is a real jewel. It's out of the beaten path. The good is huge portions. It's always a good tasting. It usually takes a while to have your order ready. But they are very nice staff. Very knowledgeable. They always smile and treat me very nicely. Great lunch. Best nachos around

We found a really good Mexican restaurant in Kona. I appreciate all the Mexican restaurants of chili rellenos. El Mageuy gets 5 stars. Nice menu. Good service. You're busy.

I love her Chile Verde! From Sept ‘22 they do not seem open on Wednesday, although their hours still say they are open. Call ahead to check, they are open (or for takeout), but definitely go, the food is delicious!

I have my shrimp tostada and my mother's fish salad too. Wonderful service.

Not sure who was working the night I went, my chicken tacos were really dry. It didn't come with any kind of sauce/salsa. I used to love coming here before. Maybe I should stick to the fish tacos. But then again, maybe the recipe changed on that one too.
