Family Affair Cafe - JURIEN BAY

When we went to Geraldton, we decided to have a coffee break in Jurien Bay. This café was our choice for coffee as it was a wide selection of homemade cakes sausage rolls that looked and tasted fantastic. The coffee was great and the staff was excellent. This is really a nice café. In fact, it's so nice that we're back here on our way back to Perth.

I hope you like onion on your pizza, even if you tell them you have an allergy. When ordering and specifying that there is an allergy to onions on one of the commands, it was clearly received and noticed the beautiful girl, the served note of...this on the order. When we returned home, the pizza sauce is full of onion, and if you take it back to inform them, the cook was frontish and was very not apologetic, just claiming all pizza sauce has onion in it. What we were not informed when ordering, I assume that was because the girl serving was 'not aware (not quite her fault), but it was noticed in the order that this was an allergy. Pizza looked great, but it's a shame that it wasn't eaten. Also partly our fault, but we left the cafe without remembering the chips we ordered, as was called the order, they were only that there were two pizzas, the chips were paid, but mists, at both ends. There was no memory that we forgot our chips when we returned to the café.

My family ordered a few takeouts from here and we were very happy. The food was cooked nicely, and the portion sizes were quite generous for the price. The staff is also very friendly. Great place for breakfast, lunch or dinner in a pinch.

Has there been a change in ownership at this restaurant? I just had a terrible experience there. The coffee was weak and lukewarm, the display case food looked stale, there were no customers, and the supposed "friendly" service felt very insincere.
