Cantina Laredo Jacksonville

New years special. We were told power was out during the day so they couldn’t prep for three course meal dinner. Do we ordered off regular menu.

Wasn’t a great place. Was built up to be amazing and it didn’t even come close to decent. 25.00 Fajitas that Chili’s beat hands down! seriously the portion was so skimpy) and the veggies weren’t even cooked…3 small slices of chicken and 3 slices of steak. Others got uniques dishes that were simply ok. The only thing that was great—table side guacamole

Lunch was delicious and everything was great. We did have to ask for drinks and the check but other than that the service was good. The ladies restroom was quite chilly and could use some improvements to the lights and soap dispensers

Felt s thought the Spirits were watered down. Not too happy with that. Did not like being seated near the bar

In my reservation, I noted that my party was celebrating a birthday. No birthday wish was given or even a simple acknowledgment of my wife’s birthday. We were seated near the bar where there was a boisterous crowd. The server was mediocre at best with no enthusiasm. She failed to bring silverware until we requested it when our dinners arrived, though we had ordered appetizers as well. The food was under-seasoned and failed to impress. The best item we had was the queso! For the restaurant to describe itself as an upscale Mexican restaurant, I was deeply disappointed and desirous of the cuisine served by my local family-owned Mexican restaurant.
