Teddy’s Bigger Burgers - Iowa City

This is my favorite place for burgers and fries in Iowa City. The burgers are amazing, the special sauce is delicious, and the fries (both regular and garlic) are perfectly crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. The shakes are also the perfect consistency. They are one of the few places that offer pink lemonade as a regular soft drink. I absolutely adore this restaurant.

Pricey, but worth the money. The special menu has a lot of variety; I had the Bleu Wave Burger who is Teriyaki and Bleu Cheese.

The burgers at this restaurant are fresh and well-made! Despite only having one employee on duty due to an emergency, Sandy did a fantastic job running the place. Don't miss out on trying the delicious chocolate peanut butter Shake!

During our visit to the area, we used Google Maps to find a good burger spot and stumbled upon Teddy's Bigger Burgers, which had great reviews. Despite the usual skepticism towards reviews, we were pleasantly surprised by the fantastic experience at Teddy's. Upon approaching the counter, we were warmly greeted and guided through the menu in detail since it was our first visit. After taking our time to decide, we placed our order and paid. I opted for the Hawaiian style burger with its special sauce and grilled pineapple, which was absolutely delicious. I also upgraded my fries for an additional dollar, and it was definitely worth it as it added a unique touch to the dish. I also had a chocolate shake with my meal, which was good but not exceptional. The dining area had a clean and vibrant atmosphere, with decor that combined a 50's style diner with a Hawaiian flair. The seating was comfortable, and we enjoyed our meal on a hot day. The only downside was the slightly loud pop machine, but it was a minor flaw in an otherwise excellent dining experience. I have since bookmarked Teddy's as one of my favorite spots on Google Maps and will definitely be returning when in the area. Highly recommended!

My favorite thing about Teddy's is that since the day it opened years ago until now it has been CONSISTENT!! The food has stayed the same, tasted the same, since day one. As a picky eater I REALLY appreciate that. The food is always fresh hot no matter when you order. I don't think I have ever had them mess up an order either. Cheese fries with real cheese sauce Huge, thick shakes. One of my favorite places in town.
