Mani's Kitchen - Huntington

We normally come for Happy hour week days $6 wines can’t beat that! Friday night we came for dinner and when we arrived the hostess told us our table was available but if we wanted to go to the bar for some drinks bc happy hour was still going on sold! Once we sat in dining room we ordered crab cake which was bland and lamb meat balls which were good but luke warm. We still ate it . My husband enjoyed his shrimp dish and I got the bolognese which the flavor was good but little oily so I couldn’t eat the whole thing . It was such a nice ambiance overall Next time we will stick with the bar snacks

We visited this restaurant because a friend's band was playing on Saturday night. They began at 9:30. So we made 8:30 reservations for dinner. The menu was very interesting and diverse. There were so many options that looked inviting we had a hard time making choices. But, with the help of the waitress, we finally did and were pleasantly surprised. The food was very good and the wait service was terrific. It was a little noisy but not uncomfortably so. We had a great meal and the band, Wild Honey was even better. We really enjoyed the evening and I recommend this restaurant. .

Overall a great night out with friends. We had 7:30 reservations but had to wait about 20 minutes to be seated. The hostess offered a round of drinks while we waited. We declined so when we sat, she graciously sent a free appetizer to the table which was a nice surprise. The staff was very personable and pleasant. The food was very good. The grilled octopus appetizer was excellent. We all enjoyed our entrees and they were accommodating to some changes to how the dishes were prepared. At 9:45, live music started in the bar area which was packed. It definitely has a lively bar scene with a updated atmosphere. We will eat here again for sure.

Our dining experience was great as always. My only negative comment is about the crab and lobster cake. It seems to be fresh and of good quality but I didnt care for the southwest seasonings. Too spicy for my taste. Would be a winner if the seasonings were adjusted
