Genesis Steakhouse Wine - Houston

I made our reservation through the Open Table app about 45 min before we wanted to go to the restaurant. When we arrived, we found out the restaurant was friggin’ CLOSED on Saturdays...wtf? I mean, I get the Kosher thing, but if they’re closed every Saturday, why the hell was I able to make a reservation? Luckily, Smith Wollensky was able to accommodate us, and we had a fabulous night out!

Enjoyed the chicken fried steak especially! Service was excellent without too much hovering.

We were a party of five and had a very enjoyable dinner at Genesis. Our waiter was so helpful; was there when we needed anything, giving great recommendations without hovering and without rushing us in any way. Noise was low so we could enjoy conversation. The main course was delicious and just the right portion for me but I wasn’t crazy about the desert.

Service was impeccable, wine was great, vegetables were delicious, med well steaks were so-so...

Duck was gamey. Steak was over done. Server forgot to give us our take away. Appetizer and dessert were good
