5 Broke Girls - Horse Cave

I was so excited to visit after I read all the reviews and saw pictures, but it ended up being very underwhelming. I got the Manhattan. It was a pile of mashed potatoes with gravy that had slivers of roast beef in it. The flavor was amazing but I expected a dinner size portion of protein in the gravy. It was like if you had roast beef the night before and had a small lining of shreds in the bottom of the pan you would throw it in your gravy not to waste. My husband had the Hart burger. My husband can eat burgers everyday, he loves them but also he was underwhelmed. It had a small town country store vibe which was nice. Poor waitress had so many tables to herself and everyone (other staff) was barking orders at her. At the end the waitress told us if we paid in cash we could get 10% off. We didn 't but still tipped her generously for her efforts. A $75 meal it was not but we southerners sure can make wonderful sweet tea!Vegetarian options: Salad, country green beans, pinto beans, okraKid-friendliness: Yes and a few arcade games in the back. They had a show on television showing different failure videos, prank videos etc.

First of all you walk in to hello noise! Holy toledo I've never been to such a loud family restaurant. We stood around for about 5 minutes before someone pointed us to a table and said we could go there. The young lady who got our drinks was soooo quiet but hey atleast she checked on us multiple times. Our waitress that took our order gave us our check before we ever got our food... That's odd! Our two sandwiches took 35 minutes to come out, which was super irritating. The fries needed some type of seasoning, the ham needs to be thinner, and there needs to be less bacon on the blt. Once we finished eating and went to pay the cashier didn't even have enough change to give back to us. ? As we were leaving seen a sign saying how they don't make fast food which ain't that the truth BUT yall should have that on the outside for when you walk in.

A great comfort food restaurant. The food is very delicious and plentiful. The staff is very friendly and attentive to all your needs. Well worth the drive.

We saw the sign for this place traveling north. On the way back home we had to stop. Be carful or you will miss it the sign is low and hard to spot. The service was very good and we were well attended to. The menu said the burger was a 2022 state best burger and 2023 nominee so of course that was what we had to get. The burger was really good! Loved the tater twist and the Mac and cheese. Highly recommend! Worth the stop and not too far off the interstate.

Saw a YouTube video of this restaurant and had to stop in on our trip to Horse Cave. The food here is delicious and mostly homemade, including the fresh green beans! Great prices and large portions. We didnt eat again all day for under $25! Be sure to check their hours if planning to be in the area
