Memphis Barbecue Company - Horn Lake

We thoroughly enjoyed our dining experience!! The food was really good. We had the BEST server, Natalie. If you ever get seated in her area, then you will be very fortunate. She is the most attentive server I've ever seen. Trust me, you won't have to wonder when she's coming back to check on you. Plus, she's just a really sweet young lady. Every employee we encountered there was very nice, too.

From a local Memphian, this place is a bit overhyped in my opinion. After two visits, I’ve decided it is just a mediocre bbq place overall. Prices are a bit high, and food is hit or miss. On this visit I ordered the combo platter with pork and turkey. Turkey was dry with little smoke. Pork was fine. Ranch-style potato salad was great but coleslaw was terrible—dry flavorless shredded cabbage with a very yellow hue. Bbq spaghetti was ok, but not like Memphis places. The sauces are not good. Cornbread was moist and good. I do appreciate the complimentary pork rinds. Service was friendly if not stressed. The atmosphere is loud and busy and cramped.

Let me start with our server. It was seven of us and our server was Rheann. She had the most beautiful personality and was very engaging. Our family believes in having fun and joking. Rheann did not disappoint with how she engage with the back and forth banner between us and her. Second she checked on us alot, with refilling glasses and asking if we needed anything once the food arrived. The food was very good and hot off the grill and out the grease. This is the first restaurant I have been to where the food was not cold or just ok,it was absolutely delicious! We were there after picking up my son and his family that arrived from Japan in town for a family members funeral. The atmosphere created was a very welcome relief for us. Thank you Memphis BBQ for the very good food and server!!!!!

I had high hopes for the Queen of BBQ and I have a feeling she would not approve of the quality of food I received yesterday. The baby back ribs were good but the brisket was terrible. The brisket not only lacked s smoke ring but it also lacked flavor and was gray in color. Because I was traveling, I did not check my food and would have refused the brisket.

Here in Texas, you are served chips and salsa. There you are served pork rinds! They were delicious! The food was delicious and the staff was very friendly and helpful!
