Saucy Dogs - Hilo

This charming, adorable little restaurant is a gem. The all-beef hot dog with spicy mustard sauerkraut was absolutely delicious, as were the kalua pork nachos. The staff was fantastic - the young lady who took my order was friendly and efficient, and despite a few people ahead of me, everyone received their food quickly. The presentation of the food was appealing and overall, I was very impressed. Thank you, Saucy Dog! Kudos to you! Supporting local small businesses like yours is definitely worth it.

I remembered the Nawt Dog from a visit years ago and it is still delicious. The staff is extremely kind.

We stopped and had the Chicago Dog on the vegan sausage. It was fantastic!!! The staff spoke to us and found that we were vegan and insisted that we try their carrot dog. She brought us a nice size to the test. It was also delicious!

It was nice to find a cheap, fast lunch option in Hilo. I have the vegan sausage Chicago style (relish, paprika, onions, mustard). It came with a selection of chips and was really good!
