Bidrage med feedbackLast Sunday with my wife and sister-in-law, I had lunch before the Carlton/Melbourne game. This restaurant provides a pub style meal. I had the parma, my wife the pie and sister-in-law the fish and chips. All were over $20. The parma came over a bed of chips at around $24, ten dollars dearer than the Aussie parma at my local pub.The glass of wines were each over ten dollars, which we think is an extremely high price for basic wines. The food arrived at the table before I was back from picking up the wine. That's quick. In discussions at our table we felt the prices were excessive considering we pay around $650 per annum each to be Members. We are also Members of our local RSL. That costs about $30 per annum. For that we get discounted meals and drinks of far better quality and cheaper price.
Great place to grab a quick lunch. Food was nice without been too over priced and the coffee was good. Not too many people when we went but even if it was busy there is plenty of chairs inside and out.
Not many people realise this Cafe is open during the week until about 3pm so it's a great place on the edge of the CBD to have a coffee or lunch meeting.
Food is good staff are friendly very nice you never know who you might see maybe football greats or even Australian cricket ledgends
This cafe can be frequented by non members and outside visitors as well as members of the MCC. They do a great breakfast from early in the morning and takeaway is available. Security will not allow visitors to access the arena area but they are welcome to eat in or takeaway.
