Bidrage med feedbackGreat place. I am here over a dozen times at this time and feel that I can give an informed review. This is a local, family-run place that has been opened since 1964, which should tell you something. The interior is juicy and secret, the place is worn, but not dirty or junky. The menu has all expected items and they serve breakfast all day (they close at 2 o'clock). They hired specials daily and are all good. My favorites here are the Ei-Benedict, stuffed Hasch-Brauen, double cheeseburger and chicken dumping soup. These are my Fav's, but the whole menu is just good food and I don't think anyone will be disappointed what they order. Service may sometimes be a little slow, but only during the busiest times, that should be expected if that bothers you then you are not realistic. All servers of very nice and work very hard, sometimes people, even waiters, can forget something, just ask. In all the times I was there, or the people I was with never had anything other than good food on our plates, just say. The owl is a great place for large house cooked food and beautiful North Idaho people.
Loved the food, loved the service.... Waitress always seemed to check on us, exactly at the perfect time every time!!! It is an old school small café with a counter and chairs to sit. Husband and friend said the best chicken fried steak they had for a long time. I had her 'Owl filled Hash Browns' hash browns with acid cream under the melted Cheddar cheese, covered in a ton of chopped bacon and green onions. Very delicious I found a new breakfast for when I go to town. Without a doubt, I go back within the week, LoL!!!
I loved it since I was a kid. Great cookies and Gravy. Had a 15 min speed en plein air sitting there on the walkway.
Super good food and great service crepes cooked eggs and bacon tasty
Our server was fun and friendly and took great care of us. We were a big group, but she did an awesome job. Food got mixed reviews. Chicken fried steak was good, bacon was cooked just the way I like it. Hash browns loaded with cheese, bacon, and sour cream were good, but without those extras they needed a lot of salt and pepper. Our group preferred the French toast to the pancakes. Overall a good experience. We'd come back.
