Bidrage med feedbackWe stopped here for lunch. Located about half way along the beachfront this is a good spot to eat and relax. The food was absolutely superb. A terrific salad, perfectly prepared. Prawns were also fresh and perfect. The wine was good, a surprisingly good Riesling. Service was above average. Sadly let down by the terrible tiny wine glasses probably bought on eBay for 10c each! When will restaurants learn that good wine is meant to be enjoyed in proper glasses and customers don't mind paying a little extra? 4 stars.
We had hoped to share tapas at the next door restaurant but it was closed. We booked a table for four people and asked to be seated outside. We had overseas visitors joining us. When we questioned the position of the table and saw two people seated where we had requested to be seated, it was explained to us that the table where we were placed was more suited to our order. We had pre-ordered Paella. Service was excellent, attentive but not over bearing. Food was very good and came very promptly. We would not hesitate to eat here again. Much better value than some other high priced restaurants in Palm Cove.
Decided on a early dinner in Palm Cove at the Rinsing Sun restaurant. Decided to sit inside near the open window. Wide choice of meals, (Spanish theme) with strong option for sharing. We selected the Seafood Paella and Sangria "special" for $50. We also ordered the Samos (which were great) but they were not really necessary as the Paella was a large meal for two.Wines range was a little limited and quite expensive. An Italian red starting at $35 everything was $40 and above. We had a great night with very good service even though it was a very busy night.Worth a try!
We were tempted by the Happy Hour advertising on the foot path- came in without much expectation and were pleasantly surprised. We enjoyed a string of yummy cocktails (still a bit expensive but HEY we're on holidays!) as well as three delicious treats (happy hour deal 3 for $25-other prices available) We had oysters (fresh and beautiful), Thai inspired fried squid (YUMMY!) and coconut pork chops (a bit oily but nice chilly sauce). Staff were friendly and helpful- also we had take away coffee from here which was the best we had in Palm cove! Go with confidence!
Looked very inviting, attractive decor, seemed popular. Unfortunately, looks were deceiving. Tasteless cocktail...ditto the duck "salad", a mound of boiled white rice topped with cucumber spirals (the salad) and dry roasted duck...poorly, if at all seasoned. Inedible.A sad start to our holiday. Overpriced and underspiced.
