Mayfair - Haslett

Ive been going to this bar since late 70s: The decor has changed some but it's still has that hometown bar feel. And the Olive burger... yum!

One of our favorite places. A great owner. A great second floor where you can see the water. A nice employees. A solid menu.

Few things highlight Haslett like THE Mayfair Bar. The ambiance of THE Mayfair is one steeped in history by the patronage of legendary Haslett community members. Walking into the establishment is like walking into the Smithsonian of Haslett. Each step on the wooden floor is like taking a step back in time to where Men were man and kids actually bahaved. Blue collar, white collar, and no collar are all welcomed and equal inside this national treasure. I cannot wait to return to this palace of wonder.

Place was near deserted, a few people at the bar. Excellent service and they serve food late on the weekends. I had the fish tacos, they were killer! They were out of a couple of items that the waitress was up front about, normal supply line issues and they were short staffed but the service was great anyway. They had vegetarian options for the vegetarian in our group and everybody got up to play pool afterwards. A nice little place.

Recommended by a friend that knew I was passing through. Amazing burgers and cold draft beer. Well worth stopping in. The server was excellent and had a very good sense of humor. The establishment was clean, sort of outdated but well maintained. Next time I wander through Haslett, I'll stop in for another meal.
