Bidrage med feedbackAfter a dosa for lunch we arrived and only 1 table was filled. Wondered if we were early or late. Only 1 waitstaff. Ordered pappadums to start and they were stale. Thankfully the dosa was as we remembered it. Last visit ever. So many other Indian places in Harris Park now so there are plenty of other choices.
Home delivery bag contained several incorrect dishes not ordered, thus the correct dishes were not in the bag despite the attached Menulog list being correct. Despite a phonecall to Billu's the issue was blamed on Menulog.
Firstly the serving size of curry and rice were very good. However, despite asking three times that my chicken Madras be cooked extra spicy it was more like a Korma. Saffron rice tasted like plain rice with a little food colouring. Garlic naan was wafer thin and not much taste To be fair when I enquired if the waitress had asked for extra hit, she did check and asked if I wanted something else no charge, I declined. Service 5/10 Food 2/10 Ambience 2/10. At NO time did anyone ask me or other diners if they had used the Covid check in. With all the Covid cases at the moment I felt very uncomfortable.
Masala dosa was cold and limp, instead of being warm and crispy. Service was quite slow even though there were more staff than customers. We were asked how the food was while paying the bill and we mentioned about the masala dosa. But there was no response. Quite disappointing.
Went for dinner mid week with few friends. Prawn Malabar was great, but service slow though hardly anyone there. Goat kadhai had few pieces of meat and three quarters onions and capsicum. Plain rice was dry and stale. In general Billus need to spruce up their interior and upgrade their restaurant. Staff were fairly courteous and obliging. Will not be rushing to dine here anytime soon.
