Sea Smoke Restaurant Bar - Halifax

My husband and I wandered here after a walk along the coast. The server was nice and offered good recommendations. We loved all the cocktails we tried. The appetizers were great. Very recommend the Tuba Crispy Rice and the roasted sommes as appetizers. The sushi was good, but not amazing. Waiting for the food was a little slow. We sat outside through a fire pit and that was nice. Overall, good experience and I am glad that we were of, but I was not very enthusiastic about how big the bill was.

Came with a large dining (6 group of people towards the end of the night, and they were very courteous about sitting us for a complete dinner, although I am sure they were happy not long after shutting off (then you and I'm sorry! . The fire tables were so nice. Many people were looking forward to the entire surf cruise, but with two cruise ships in the port they were long gone. We were lucky to get lobster dick. The cocktails alone made this experience worthwhile, but the steak and sushi have put it over the head. Beautiful service and everything was cooked for perfection. Surprisingly fair price in view of the difficult tourist location and view. Will definitely repeat the next time in Halifax.

I am really cunning with this review. Only the service the waitress and host were very friendly. It took a little time to order drinks, which was good when we watched people as soon as we ordered the foods and drinks that it quickly came. The service is over here? We never saw our waitress again until the drinks were dry and the food was long gone. Very disappointing. It seemed to be a change in the shift that led to many of the waiters chatting together instead of providing guests. The food: Filipino pork: 10/10 Lobster mushroom 3/10 the taste was fine, but the filling was dense, dry and lukewarm. Korean Chicken 6/10 good taste, good crunchy coating but over boiled and dry. Could use a lot more sauce. Atlantic Roll 10/10 very good.

We had a nice experience at Sea Smoke Restaurant Bar during our visit to Halifax. We requested an early dinner reservation and they were able to accommodate us on the terrace on the shore. It was a bit cool and windy outside, but they delivered us blankets and fired the fireplace. The staff was very friendly and diligent. We even had a nice chitchat with the manager. Overall, the food was very good and the portions were satisfied. It was a tad expensive, but, given the situation and quality, I think it was reasonable. We also tried and enjoyed some of their drinks. But even if there is a ?happy hour?, the options included were a kind of reason, so we skipped it.

First impression is when the host welcomed us at the door. Her big smile and the way she greets us were lovely. We ordered two dozens of oysters, a seafood skillet, mussels, sashimi and sushi as well. Everyone in our group was satisfied with the food and its freshness. We love the vibe too. We finished the meal when the sun went down and the lights were turned on. The patio outside looked amazing at that moment. Though the wait was a bit long, we definitely come back the next time we go to Nova.
