Morris East Slice Shop - Halifax

My first experience there was not the greatest, but second time was a charm. The Italian Job pizza was really good, along with the bread, olive and vinegar appetizer. They are one of the very few places in town that serve sparkling San Pellegrino sodas.

Amazing experience! The restaurant had a very nice atmosphere, and it was some of the best pizza I?ve ever had.

Not the greatest for take out. I can’t speak to the restaurant side, but the person at the take out counter wasn’t very attentive, nor were they welcoming. I ordered a salad and waited over 30 minutes. Paid nearly $18 for the equivalent of a side salad consisting of cucumber, basil, tomato, and “boccacini,” which I am quite positive was Parmesan. Very disappointed this could have been made at home for 5$ and in 5 minutes.

Best pizza I had in town. The mushroom pizza was divine. Like that you can just come in, pick 1-2 slices of different flavors and just enjoy within minutes. Didn't break bank for some nice pizza. I recommend ?Food: 5/5

I ordered one of everything for my wife's surprise birthday party and Morris East did not disappoint. I converted at least half of my friends to thinking this is the best pizza in Halifax. Having been here at least a dozen times I can confidently say it's our go to date night spot. Each time I go I order something different and I've probably tried the entire menu at this point, and each item seems better than the last. They just don't miss.My only complaint would be how long it takes for the food to arrive had a few issues with this being 30+ minutes more than once but hey, good things take the time they take.The staff are always super accommodating and having met the owner more than once, it feels like a local, family run place.My advice would be to go a bit early (530 or so) and plan to settle in, take your time, and enjoy the evening. Don't order in a rush, let it take the time it takes, get a glass of wine, and take a deep breath. Then when the pizza arrives, thank your lucky stars you took the advice of a random Google review.10/10, will be a loyal customer for life.
