Surfin Mermaid Tavern - Haleiwa

A few days to stay at the northern shore and it was recommended to check this place. It has a diving bar feeling, but still it was great. We have the cocktail that comes in a freshly cut and mixed pineapple. For dinner we ordered the kimchi fried rice, which was spectacular. The service was also wonderful. If you are in the area, check this place safely.

This is a nice, laid back bar. The food is amazing. The smoked meat is insanely tasty. My girlfriend and I had a blast with the shuffleboard table too. The might we went, they had a local guy playing ukelele and singing. After, he stuck around to sing karaoke. So much fun!

Found this place on the recommendation of someone who eats here often. We got two beers and the mixed plate with pineapple to share. The pineapple was fresh and the mixed plate was great. The wing sauce soaked into the rice a little and added some great flavor. We really like the brisket. The bartender was nice and helpful in choosing our food. We discovered after we ordered our beers that there was a build your own **** mary bar. Guess we will have to come back and give it a try!

No longer the Kawailoa Tavern. It is now called The Surfing Mermaid Tavern. The new owners have turned this place into one of my regular places to enjoy a cocktail and some awesome food. The atmosphere is welcoming and laid back, always a great promo going on and something to enjoy almost every night of the week!
