Simply the best Mexican food outside mexiko. gordo’s is a small, family-run restaurant. the menu is quite short, but perfectly formed with something for everyone. the tacos are the absolute star of the show, but the al pastor is only raised. good value, friendly staff and simply amazing eating. it is a million miles away from its typical Mexican restaurant. I spent a week in guadalajara, mexiko eating great Mexican food and the day I was back camera, my son wanted to go to gordos for his birthday. gordos tacos were better than anyone I had in guadalajara!

Guildford needed an authentic and cozy Mexican restaurant and this ticks all the boxes and then some. The chef knows exactly how to balance flavours and textures. Tacos and margaritas are made to perfection. The servers are cheerful and thoughtful. Well done Gordo’s
