Bidrage med feedbackWe visited the Fan museum on a rainy Saturday afternoon, its been on my list since 2019 but guess what got in the way! We now have the art pass and get in for free, its well worth the journey, the guide was excellent and all the fan are beautiful!
We had been tongue observatory and I had seen this on TripAdvisor and thought we would take a look. It's £5 to get in unless you are a national trust member. The ladies there are lovely and happy to chat about the exhibits.
Small museum in Greenwich London not far from the bigger attractions. It holds an interesting collection of historic fans which will delight fan afffitionados .
We were staying in Greenwich for the weekend, and saw the fan museum, and decided to pay a visit. Well the range of fans and the quality of the exhibits was exquisite, absolutely mesmerised by the workmanship and the stories behind each piece. The piece de la resistance was the cream tea in the hand painted Orangery, hugely recommended. great service lovely coffee, and charming waitress.
The displays are arranged in such a way that the visitor can view the fans in the perfect light for each ..allowing you to really appreciate the 'mini works of art ' that many of these rare fans are. This museum has a lift for the less able and offers free entry on Tuesdays for seniors and disabled visitors..what you save on the entry cost you can spend in the stylish café after your visit.
