Bidrage med feedbackMy husband (Irani) brought our friend here, we just moved from another state and excited that there is Persian restaurant. Ordered doogh vali d owner said “r u sure?” The sides are different and rice we are not sure. My mother inlaw said, the best explanation why some people will dislike a food, bc in Iran people from different cities will make Iranian food differently. The owner was nice and happy when my husband started speaking with him in Farsi, he was hesitant to give him his doogh lol. And the banana?? Not sure maybe he was just trying to give it as free or garnish
I traveled to Omaha for training and decided to try Persian food over the weekend. I found Ahmad Restaurant through Google, which had appealing Persian decor and a friendly owner. Unfortunately, the food was far from satisfactory. I ordered the Tehran chicken kebab, requested an additional skewer of ground beef, and a glass of yogurt drink. The chicken kebab was overcooked, lacking taste and flavor, and the kobide was equally disappointing—dry, tasteless, and unappetizing. To my dismay, the total cost came to $51. When I inquired about the high price, I was told that they don't offer combos, so I was charged for a full portion of kebab for just one skewer. Afterward, I found similar negative reviews online and wished I had checked them before visiting. I would have avoided this place entirely.
Family owned, food made with care. Spectacular delicious food every time. I recommend their tea as well. Service is great and the owner will even check on you personally. Vegetarian options: Two options for entrees. At least 3 appetizers options as well.
Ahmad’s is truly the best hidden GEM in Omaha. Not only is the cook amazing, the staff are extremely kind and friendly. I highly recommend eating there.
I went here with my buddy for dinner a while back and it was such an excellent experience. I literally rave about it whenever people ask me about places to eat around town. I’m pretty sure it was the owner who served us and he was very welcoming and nice. The food was really delicious as well. I ended up getting an extra dish to go to take home for my husband. As for the people complaining about staffing…. Clearly have never worked in the industry before and have no respect for those who do to give a bad review over that. First of all, it’s hard to find people who actually want to work. Second of all, if anything we should be impressed and respect the work ethic of someone doing his best with a small staff. The food and beverage industry is not an easy one to survive in and I commend this man for what he does.
