Bidrage med feedbackHands down the best roasted chicken!! Super juicy and tasteful just from your old Grandma kitchen on a Sunday afternoon, absolutely delicious!! The Mac and the cheese have the right bite with a white cheese sauce that is for dying. We also had the lumps that are perfectly fried with delicious filling and great sauce! The staff is friendly and the restaurant invites you.
We're not from Kansas City, but by chance there this day, looking for place for lunch. So google and found this place. Since they just opened, no one was there, but a table they already served and us. The menu I saw on Google that other people took was different from those they currently so conscious. You need to 've changed it what I knew 't this time' so I kindly asked to clarify when their economy Bilao comes with Veggies and the guy, ordering on sarcastic answer, you see it in the menu I'm disturbing him that I'm different menu online because of the way he replied. Regarding food, the bbq was good and the sisig was actually chicken not pig, but I like the taste. Crispy pata was good too. I didn't know what boiled chicken was and was disappointed that his fried chicken. It tastes good, but not what I expect to serve in a bilao as I look for authentic Filipino food. I recommend the owner to change it to grilled chicken or at least have this option to choose for customers. For some reason his early in the morning and they have already 't have the Lechon kawali, who suspect we are coming with the Bilao so instead they double the part of the fried chicken. I appreciate the gesture, but I wish we were asked what we wanted to do with the replacement, because what they lacked would have been "better replacement". The pancite was good, but looked so easy, had not much Saog-Veggies / chicken. The kutsinta was not good, it was kind of hard and granular and did not even come with shrunk coconut on the top face of its $1.50 each piece. Halo Halo Halo was fine, the bananas they laid were hard. In my opinion, the food was somewhat overpriced without service. It's a self-eating. You pay first in the counter, then you get your own utensils, plates, water, spices and even boxes at the end. They didn't have this shield somewhere, nor did the guy who took our order explain it to us. We found out ourselves. Suggest that you guys atleast declare that to your customers and not assume that they know. The table after us long waited for someone to come back to get them plates and other things. They were older people and were probably used earlier. Not everyone in your door has eaten there. You should always treat everyone as you would treat them if they first visit your restaurant, even if they return customers), welcome them and give them reason to come back. I left a tip later in her drinking glass to support my colleagues Filipinos.
Definitely one of the most authentic Filipino restaurants in the KC area. They have bilao plates that can feed a fairly large family. They are also very accommodating with orders. For example, they made the sine (tamarind soup) more sour for our party. The only real disadvantage is the longer than ordinary waiting and small restaurant. At any rate, the food is freshly prepared to order. I highly recommend that you try authentic Filipino cuisine.
The staff was super friendly, my girlfriend and I had to eat outside because of the limited space and party inside, but I really enjoyed the breeze and tranquility of the area. The food was delicious and we really enjoyed the fineness of chicken and pork sabos taste. Came with a pineapple and a generous part of rice. All in all a really wonderful experience if you like Filipino food and even if you don't necessarily try this place you can come to love it.
Meanwhile yesterday! ? Reunited and it felt so good! ? met up with. Met up with foodie friends at Manila Bay Express where once again mama Norma Thayer did her magic! Food for the Soul! Yesterday just took me back to the family dinning table. The ?Crispy Pata? AKA pork leg is ISANLY delicious crispy skin on the outside, tender and juicy inside. The grilled shrimp was SWEET and SMOKY, the Sisig DIVINE, the grilled pompano SUCULENT, the pineapple HEAVENLY and the lumpia well, I need a truck full of them. #friendsarefamily #eatlikealadyshould
