Bidrage med feedbackSuper delicious breakfast! Coffee is so good from this world! Our waiter was great for everything. We could get our food quickly. A funny facets we learned about this place is that is originally in New Jersey and years ago they transferred the whole diner to Michigan, how cool!? And how sweet this place is! We'll be back.
I've been here twice now and I've never been disappointed. The first time was a trip with our residents last summer. The second time was with my husband this morning. Food is amazing, staff are wonderful and the owner Dan is very personal! Very cool 50's diner.
Discovered this hidden jewel yesterday by chance. It has a really clean old school vibe, but more importantly the food was great and service was great considering how short staff they were at that time. I ordered the Cuban while my wife ordered the Mile High Club. Very happy, and apparently they serve breakfast all day. Fantastic Cascade area divers! Hidden behind Capriottis on 28. st SE.
I loved going to this place when it was Pals, especially because of the atmosphere and some of their dishes. It just made me smile. I was so glad it was reopened. I'm glad they kept the same old time appealing, and it was interesting to see the menu changes. I admit that I felt that some of the prices were a little high, and I was sad to see some things that were normal diner fare no longer on the menu... especially the hot turkey sandwich... the Pal's actually made with a thick slice of turkey and it was like no other. It would be amazing to see this return to the menu. It's a great consolation. My sister and I respectively ordered the enchilada that are depicted. I must say they were very tasty and the presentation was great. I loved the black beans and rice very much. The Enchiladas were really spiced. To dessert we had a shake and it was very good! My only concern is that the pricing for a diner appears a little. It would be nice if there were some cheaper choices on the menu. I also felt that some of the foods just didn't seem to fit the atmosphere... which is a diner. The food I saw coming from the kitchen looked great and appealing, but it looked like it was in a higher kind of branch. I just felt that the menu should reflect more of a 50s theme like the atmosphere. Offers for a more comfort food theme would be nice. If that makes sense. And this is just my own observation: The waiting staff was very attractive and pleasant, and the whole facility was clean: I plan to go back to try some other things.
Dan's Diner served the biggest, tastiest, freshest, stacked club on grilled sourdough bread. It was the best I've ever had.
