Grit Café - Goulburn

Cosy little cafe near The Merino. Staff are nice and friendly, nice food and coffee. Service was quick and great ambiance. A great hidden gem.

For many years I have been driving back and forth between Canberra and Sydney and I can't believe I have only just discovered this place now! It's tucked away in the corner next to the McDonalds car park and was recommended to us by my husbands work mates. What a great place! The buttermilk pancakes are to die for! My husband had eggs on toast which was great and all the other meals coming out, particularly the burgers looked fantastic. You can get fresh juice too which was lovely. I bought a salad to takeaway as it looked so good and I wanted something healthy to eat later. I had to resist the delicious looking cakes and cookies on display, which was really hard as they looked amazing. The staff were very friendly and proficient. I really can't wait to go back to Grit and try something else on their yummy menu. Highly recommend this place.

Reviews were good so we stopped and tried it. It was great. We regularly travel to wagga and finally agood quality cafe ressonable prices.

Better than average cafe with good choice of delicious healthy options. Only a small space with some communal seating so you may have to share. Young friendly staff, will go back.

We have been stopping at Grit for three or four years now on our regular travels between Canberra and The Illawarra and have always found the coffee and food to be good. However I have to say that the quality of the coffee on the last couple of occasions has not been to their usual high standard. I am hoping that this is an aberration and that the quality of the coffee will return soon as I don't want to find somewhere else but today's coffee was not much better that warm milk. On the positive said the service is always friendly.
