Husky House Restaurant - Golden

I would recommend avoiding this restaurant. The food was overcooked in old oil and had a bad taste. There were no booths and no music playing, giving the place a lack of personality. I felt embarrassed for suggesting the restaurant, thinking it was similar to Denny's or other family restaurants. I was mistaken. We should have left right away. I now understand why it was so quiet and lacking truckers. Save your money and don't bother. The waitress (Dil) was pleasant, but that's about it.

Excellent! Stopped for breakfast and had a wonderful meal. Hubby had the breakfast special and said everything was fresh and well made. I had the Husky House french toast and was wowed by the quantity and quality of the food. Fresh, well made, very tasty…. And a great price! I dropped one star because the building is clean but is very run down. Staff are arm and friendly and the service is excellent.

Travelling through on Highway #1 and I stopped for breakfast at Husky House. It was decent. Coffee was good, food OK, and service, not great, but sincere. There are not many places along the highway to choose from, so in a pinch, I would eat here again.

During lunch time, the restaurant was well-staffed to accommodate the busy crowd. They were very efficient in getting customers served and on their way. The menu offered a wide variety of options, and the soup and sandwich specials were delicious. Additionally, there was ample parking available for larger vehicles or trailers.

Great Food GREAT Service Great Pricing We stopped for lunch on our road trip back to Alberta. Our server Michelle was a lovely addition. She made us feel welcome and kept our two year old entertained with the free kids placemat and crayon offer! Play while you wait! My mom opted for dessert and their apple crumble did not disappoint. I had the smaller version of the Big salad. Very fresh veggies. My boyfriend had the sandwich and fries meal and it was filling and tasty. Make sure you say yes to their water!!!! Ohh my gosh! Spring water delish! Thanks again
