Outback Jacks Bar & Grill - Glendale

We went to the restaurant after a movie around 8:20pm. There were hardly any people in the restaurant and we were rushed by the staff to order. We were seated near the lights that were turned off at 9pm. We left at 9:06pm and won't be returning anytime soon. The steaks were cooked pretty close to medium, as we had ordered.

The restaurant formerly known as Outback Jacks has reverted back to Lone Star, but unfortunately, the service has not improved. Despite a full house of customers, we were seated in a section designated for families with young children, which was not ideal for our party of two. We endured a noisy dining experience due to a screaming child at a nearby table, with no intervention from the parents. We requested to be moved, but were told there were no other available tables, even as the restaurant began to empty out. The service was slow and disorganised, with drinks and meals being delivered to the wrong tables. When our food finally arrived, my husband's ribs were delicious, but my steak was overcooked and bland. The salad and mushroom sauce were missing, replaced with mashed potatoes. The manager offered a partial discount when we expressed our disappointment, but we will not be returning.

We were in the movies of Glendale to eat Outback Jack before we went home. When we were early, we found an almost abandoned restaurant, but when we were gone, there were a dozen more diners. While the atmosphere seemed... gloomy the waiting staff was very pleasant and our food was served immediately. My hamburger was pretty tasty, but the expensive and huge portions of ribs was quite fat, certainly not the best we have ever been served. Luckily we had a voucher from the entertainment book, so we got a discount. I wish we had seen the speculator board when we entered the restaurant as we had ordered.

We had a steak and a beef salad. My husband was quite disappointed with his steak “the traveller steak” it was cooked fine- how he asked but not very tasty. My beef salad is ok. Other people’s food looked nice- they did a deal ribs...and wings for $29.99 which was massive. Not sure if our choice of food wasn’t great or what- not in a rush to go back!

We went here for dinner, and only 3 other tables were full. Service was slow. Food was average at best and overpriced for what it was. Burger was bland and overcooked and the ribs were average.
