Ruth's Chris Steak House Garden City

Although we enjoyed our meal, it was too expensive. Fried calamari was so. The meal was expensive. I asked for a glass of wine and was calculated 39. for 9 ounces, although I specifically asked for House California Cabernet.

I indicated on the reservation that we were celebrating a birthday, so to my surprise there was no card or confetti on the table. Food was good , however my steak was overcooked. The waiter Ed quickly rectified the issue by remaking a new one with a complimentary dessert. However I was still disappointed that they fell short of acknowledging it was a birthday celebration. 7 out of 10.

Ruth’s Chris did not live up to its status. Some food was cold, drinks took 25 minutes to come and food took even longer. Place was almost empty on a Friday night at 8:00 pm. Don’t think I want to go back!

This is not our first time to RC. Your renovations are nice. We waited less than 10 minutes for a table. The waiter was rushing about and did not pay attention to our order. We started with drinks and my sister-in-law ordered a margarita (mango) without ice. It was delivered by the waiter in way too long a time with ice tasting like peach. I sent it back for it to be corrected. She did not drink very much. When the waiter asked me for an appetized order I told him I'd like the stuffed mushrooms. Unfortunately they came out as a side with with the entre. While my entre, Stuffed Chicken came out hot as did my garlic mashed potatoes the mushrooms were served in a room temperature container and tasted room temperature. I had a glass of Malbec wine and was never asked if I would like another. I had a Irish coffee and it came out in a glass with black coffee with the whiskey.

Didn’t feel like an upscale experience at all (except for the price).
