1000 Island Indian Takeout - Gananoque

Definitely drop in after your tour boat ride, but if you order 10 dishes for a group at the restaurant, you'll be even more impressed.

The restaurant at this location has been taken over by new owners and is now operating as 1000 Island Indian Cuisine.

Nice little place to order excellent take-out Indian food. Very friendly hosts who cook your meal as you wait. Located near the cruises, so very convenient. Highly recommended.

Pleasant Staff. All dishes are freshly prepared. We had some Indian sweets like Rasa Malai and Gulab Jamun and also some Samosas. All are well prepared and authentic. The only negative point is that it is a Take Out place and you cannot dine there. They have good Lunch and Dinner Menus also. Certainly visit if we go again.

As we were staying in a log cabin we thought it would be nice to get Indian take out, so pleased we chose the 1000 Islands Indian which is just down near the marina. Having eaten Indian food in Bradford West Yorkshire and Birmingham (the curry capitals of England) and Indian Weddings I can happily say this food was of the highest quality and a surprising find in Gananoque. The owners were very helpful and welcoming and helped us out with our food in the pouring rain. Not at all surprised the chef cooked for the Obama's at the Whitehouse. Excellent quality, would definitely go back.
