Absolutely great food !!! Service is excellent !!! Great for take out as well !!! Highly recommended !!!
I absolutely adore this restaurant! I make the effort to drive all the way from Mt. Juliet just to eat here. The food is incredibly fresh and delicious. I believe that those who don't enjoy this place are likely accustomed to cheap Chinese buffets with less than fresh ingredients. The American Chinese dishes are tasty, but the real gems are found on the authentic menu. I highly recommend trying the Twice Cooked Pork with onions and green peppers (pictured) as well as the pork belly with mustard greens - they are absolutely amazing! Don't hesitate to give this place a chance, you won't be disappointed!
I love the traditional Chinese food from 'Corner Asian. ' It 's worth the 30 minute drive without traffic and it 's worth 60 minute drive with traffic. Their traditional dishes are called 'Real Chinese ' at our house but even more specifically they are from spicy culinary capital of the world, Sichuan, China. My first go to is almost always Chengdu Spicy Beef which is meat forward with just the right amount of carrots, onions, and mushrooms with a pleasant amount of sauce/oil. I am not one who can handle a ton of spice, so I would say this is dish is 7 out of 10 for what I can handle. In other words, it 's spicy but I love it. Any hotter and I would be pushed beyond my limit. I can eat the whole serving with a side of rice and more full than I should be. There is sweet note to this dish just makes it perfectly balanced. Again, it 's my first go to so when alone or tight on budget, it 's what I order. Ideally I come here with family and/or friends and eat 'family style ' by ordering a few dishes and sharing them. The line up is always: Chengdu Spicy Beef Spicy Cumin Beef or Lamb Chongqing Hot Pepper Chicken Stir Fried String Beans The Cumin Beef/Lamb is very much a cumin dish. But, man it 's awesome when contrasting with the spicy/sweet Chengdu Spicy Beef. To lower the spice level from 10/10 to 7/10, have the chef hold the jalapeños. It 's less saucy dish than the Chengdu probably due to the cumin absorbing it but it 's awesome. As for the Chongqing Hot Pepper Chicken, it 's pretty amazing, familiar enough to the American palate but different enough to know you are not at Panda Express. The chicken is dry fried with a red pepper base sauce, naked and not deep fried, and has a deep rich flavor. Hold the jalapeños to hold the spiciness at 7/10 versus 10/10. It can be a little oily (not unpleasant) or could be almost dry...just depends on the day..which I am happy either way. To me, the Stir Fried String Beans serves as the best dish to serve with the proteins! The green beans are flavored perfectly and a little on the sweet side with a slight touch of vinegar. It 's not spicy and perfect to balance out the meat/poultry dishes. When it comes to their American style Chinese, they are very good, and way above average. Because of the quality and portion size, it 's the best lunch deal in town. If you like normal American style Chinese food, you will LOVE this. If your idea is a massive amount of Chinese food for little money, then stick with this part of their menu. If you 're well traveled and know what 'Real Chinese ' food is then, of course, order from their traditional menu. I mean, there 's a whole other level that I can 't even bring myself to try at Corner Asian. My friends do, but I just can 't. Cannot and will not do it. So for the purists or wildly adventurous go ahead get the beef tendon served cold, chicken feet, and frog legs, and such like. The menu I outlined is out of the American Chinese Box, but it 's not crazy adventurous. I 've introduced dozens of friends to my line up and they love it...even when they were scared to order it. Call it Corner Asian Cafe or Corner Asian Bistro, it 's the me glorious kitchen and dining room. Keep in mind, there are two websites for this place, the one that includes 'bistro ' is the one that you can order online versus calling in.
Got a recommendation from colleague who drove all the way from Murfreesboro. Went to see if it was worth it. “Totally worth it”. As far as I can tell everything tastes so authentic with the availability of ingredients locally. Definitely try it out. Menu is vast but won’t disappoint you whichever you chose.
