Chopblock - Gainesville

I really enjoy this place! Good food, good beer, great service... what else is there? Great selection of craft brews (that’s a big plus for me) and great place to watch football. We like to sit at the bar.... great view of the big screen, but all monitors are placed where you can see lots of games.

My daughter and I stopped in here for some lunch. I was expecting bland ole bar food, but the food and service was excellent. I got the huge Reuben sandwich and fries which was awesome. It was made with what looks to be hand sliced thick pastrami. Nice portions! Also kids eat free on Sundays so my daughter and I ate for $14.

Don't fret if it's busy, it is worth the wait. The service was very welcoming and sociable. Prices are fair I would say. Feeling here is similar to a place in Columbus I liked.

I was visiting Gainesville recently and had some free time to explore the Square. Happened to go in Chopblock just cause it was there. Had a great time meeting locals and having good drinks and food. the staff were really nice to chat with. I’d like to mention two of them. Janet and Noah at the bar. I highly recommend this place to anyone in the Gainesville area.

First time stoping in and was nicely surprised by the great service, delicious food and drinks. Great variety menu. Pittsburgh wrap was excellent. Atmosphere was upscale sports bar with a local feel on the gainesville square. Great place to relax, socialize watch some sports. .
