O Nosso - Funchal

Love it! Popped in after 2 yrs only to be remembered and greater with a warm smile and a cold drink. Best and strongest poncha in Funchal. Not a big bar but very friendly. Would recommend to all

We visited here a couple of times and were made to feel so welcome. It 's not what you would call a tourist bar, away from the main drag. It 's a great local with fabulous snacks served with each drink. We had amazing garlic broad beans, chicken wings, fish, nuts etc. It 's on quite a busy road, and there 's a nice friendly atmosphere with people saying hi to their friends as they pass. Excellent value and great food.

We visited O Nosso Bar after doing a day out walking the levadas or high peaks on our way back to the hotel. Despite being very much a local bar we were made to feel welcome and enjoyed the atmosphere and the tapas. Prices were cheap.

Gjorde två besök på o Americano under vår vistelse i Funchal. Lite blandat omdöme. Några maträtter var väldigt bra tillagade andra mindre bra. Ost och charkbricka bra, Black pig bra, Chorizo bra. Musslor, nja, pommes, nja, grön sparris nja. Goda viner, men saknade vinlista och priser på varje enskilt vin. Det var lite mer på chans, vill ni ha torrt eller sött rödvin var frågan vi fick.

Lovely little resturant with an interesting history and great food. The Americano part is historically based. Look the photo inside and the clock hanging to the right of the photo. We had lovely food. Tuna and pork with garlic bread, sweet potato and a lovely white wine. Do not miss out on this little pearl.
