Bidrage med feedbackWe went to this restaurant for breakfast today. As we are gluten-free, we were disappointed to find out they did not have gluten-free bread. However, they were able to offer us a breakfast burrito without the burrito or steel cut oats (which was not completely gluten-free). We both opted for the oats, which were delicious with raisins, berries, and nuts on top. The breakfast bowl was a bit small for a $10 meal, and we would have liked more eggs. The oatmeal cost $6.50. The iced coffee and icy chai were both good. Overall, we paid about $25 for two breakfasts and two drinks, which is a bit expensive in my opinion, but it is Island Essen after all. I would still recommend this place!
I was thrilled to discover that this place was open! It seems like everything else is closed on Sunday mornings. They have signs to make it easy to find the correct entrance.
Incredible as always! We have been coming to this restaurant for about 10 years, except during the pandemic when we stayed at a friend's house on the island. It's our first time returning here.
Great restaurant with a view of the arriving ferry. Parking lot overlooking the ferry waiting area. Fast service, delicious food, and excellent service.
I especially enjoyed their Lox and Bagel Sandwich, which was made with a choice of three different types of bagels. They also offer oat milk as an alternative to cow's milk, which I preferred. My husband ordered scrambled eggs, which were cooked perfectly. The eggs were beautifully moist and fluffy. The staff at the cafe were friendly and patient. I arrived at 7 a.m. when they first opened their doors, and although it got busier as the day went on, the peak tourist season was over and the crowds had dispersed. Overall, a perfect breakfast spot that I highly recommend trying.
