Bidrage med feedbackIf you have not tried Hickory BBQ recently, you need to check it. New owners took over May 2016 and they have become a great start. We were there several times and the food was great. Her cats were excellent. Had the chicken, shrimp and burger so far, and all were worth the trip. You have also set a professional web designer to update their online image. Take a look at HickoryBBQPit.com. After scanning through their new website, it is obvious that they take the BBQ industry seriously. After talking to the owners Jim and Jeremy, I learned that they are a father-son team, with many years of experience in the restaurant and BBQ business. They even took me on a tour through their kitchen, where I could see the Pit, just amazing. Hickory BBQ will be a regular feeding place for my family. I think I feel like ribs next, they saw great cooking on their grill during my tour. Check it yourself and you will agree that Hickory BBQ is one of the best things that happen to Fort Myers. Good work Jim Jeremy, keep the great work!!!
Hickory Bar-B-Q, Old McGregor Blvd, Fort Myers, Here are my 2 cents on the food and some Chit chat. I have a ribbed plate with two sides. Only too much pigs around Hush Puppies.WOW these were very good.. The size of the golf balls and full taste. Even cold they were good. OMG the cookie I loved. They also gave you REAL butter. Excellent! Now the Cole is sworn. Eh. Creamy chopped fine needs a bit more taste... Not too sweet or sour. Needs work. The RIBS. Real ribs for real carnivores. No Phoo Phoo baby back. Good size very fleshy. Almost fall from the bone real carnivore want that tug. Season fine with the right smokey taste. Not excessive. Chi chat.. I hate vinegar base sauce. Even in my hot sauces NOPE... tomato base sweet and sharp, that's for me. But I had her version of a sweet sauce. Not bad. Needs more sweet brown sugar, honey or molasses, and kick it up with some sharp pepper. My order was delivered quickly. People were great. I don't mind that the 20-minute Commons for it from the Cape.. All right.
Best ribs! Not some creepy meat drowned in the sauce. Eating is always great. I enjoy the new sweet sauce and the traditional brownish. I love the last additions to the menu. Try the fried Tylloin sandwich! If you like BBQ beef, give it a try, but it is a slim dry cut. I prefer the pork sandwich. Always a joy! Chicken is great. You could say I'm a big fan!

This place is awesome. This is a Fort Myers staple that's been around since 1956. The prices are beyond reasonable, the portions are just fine (if you're really hungry or large, get dinners, not sandwiches), and the sauce is very unique. If you hate it, they will give you sweet sauce they store in the back, but I love it. It's all about the sauce. They DO take credit and debit cards now. Order a pork sandwich, tack on a few sides, and thank me later. Or get the ribs. There's a lot of meat on those ribs. Then finish up with homemade coconut cream pie. Or the key lime. Best key lime I've ever had.
