Sunset Lounge - Fort Collins

The High Tea was beautiful. The tea could have been a bit hotter and some of the bread was somehow on the side of the spike so that it should be fixed, but otherwise tea pots on the table would have preferred to wait for a refill. The pastries were beautiful, the lounge itself was cozy and the music was beautiful. The staff was good, but a little slow when we had to wait for refills several times. Overall a good experience for my mother's birthday party.

The food was wonderful. It would have been nice to have Christmas decorations and Christmas music from the piano.

The food was great, but for most of the teas I took part, you could have seconds for one of the sauces (sandwiches) or scenes. It was also not very welcoming for a holiday tea. A small holiday decoration and some holiday music on the piano would have been nice. The service and the food itself were very good.

3 star for ambient and very friendly service. The food was very simple. Being in a hotel, I expected a better quality chef level food. Shrimp cocktail had one shrimp! Scone was very plain and dry. Dessert was nothing impressive. Tea was good though. I have been to many afternoon tea like this and they charges about the same price, but I got better/more food from other places.

I bought the High Tea experience for my sister's birthday. We had a wonderful time and the food was great. If you drink a lot of tea I would have to say pace yourself. The teapot is not left at your table but served one cup at a time. We weren't expecting that, but it did allow us to try all the different tea. I recommend the experience, you have to do it at least once.
