Bidrage med feedbackWent here today for a Negroni which is close to some of the top museums. Very good Negroni especially for the cost of it. 6 Euros only.
Delightful evening in a serene garden environment. Although menu is intentionally limited… it is superlative in every aspect. Away from the bustling, touristy crowds of the piazzas. Well worth the little effort to find in exchange for a diamond quality memory. Elena made our evening special !!! Value for dollar/euro was amazing !!!
We had an apartment across the street. This was our daily coffee and treat stop. It is part of a university/culinary school so some staff are coop students. Permanent Staff were excellent, friendly and helpful. Coffee tea was inexpensive and great variety of school made treats. We had supper there one night and I would say good not excellent. My wife had a chicken kebab and I had argentine beef. The beef was cooked right but a bit chewy. Salad was pretty salty. Good price on house wine Lunch could be off the weekly menu or sandwiches all were very fresh. We were sorry to say goodbye after our 4 weeks
Such a pity this is another of the Secrets of Florence that can only be discovered mostly by word of mouth or through diligent searching the web for culinary schools. Last evening we wanted something close to our apartment and this is literally 100 meters from our door. I had researched Ganzo and Fedora many months back while making the initial plans for our trip to Florence. We walked in lated and asked if we could get a table 35 minutes before the kitchen closed. Yes, of course, choose any where you would like to sit. My wife took charge and we wandered back deep into the peaceful garden and its magic lighting. Perfection is a good place to start. We ordered a few small plates a green salad so hard to find in Florence) and a lovely warm combination of cooked beets, olive oil and roasted Hazelnuts. It was so satisfying, The student waiter recommended the spaghetti and the steak. Both of these were ample servings and the steak was cooked all tuscan steaks very rare, but so tender and tasty. To accompany these simple delights we had bread and a couple lovely glasses of red wine. Fedora is open early for pastries etc. and oh perhaps I should mention they offer wonderful spa treatments at this same location Via Ricasoli 21.
Delicious fresh pastries served by the students, nice atmosphere and off the beaten path nearby Accademia. Good value for quality food. Friendly service too!
