Bidrage med feedbackAfter driving over to the restaurant and finding out that they were not serving food again, we were very disappointed. This had happened before when they had put up notes in the window saying there was no food available, only to start serving again later. We decided to give them another chance, but once again we found a note in the window saying that food would not be available until a certain date. It would be helpful if the restaurant could make a decision and let customers know in advance whether or not they will be serving food.
We visited the restaurant for drinks and a meal. The garden seating was pleasant for enjoying a cold drink, but we regretted deciding to eat there. The lasagne looked appealing but lacked flavor. The so-called "homemade" beef burger was clearly pre-cooked and reheated, leaving it dry and tasteless. The coleslaw and chips were also disappointing in portion size and taste. Overall, the food quality was poor.
We stopped by from the nearby caravan site. The service was very prompt, the food was delicious, and they also serve a great pint of Guinness! We definitely plan on returning before we leave the area. Thank you.
The food here is ordinary. It’s a menu lifted straight from the pubs of 25 years ago. The food is generally over cooked but it’s far from awful. Usual suspects on the menu. Scampi, burger, pie of the day etc. Most of it is deep fried or microwaved. Here’s the clincher though. Four of us had two courses and the total bill was £38. I mean, Scampi Chips was £6 for a generous portion. You can’t get a McDonalds meal for that. So, weighed up against the bill, was it value for money? Absolutely. And that’s really all you can ask.
Went to Three Tuns having had it recommended, how disappointed were we. Terrible Sunday lunch. All bought in food I suspect and just warmed up. Table veneer hanging off, sticky everywhere. It needs a complete overhaul. Beautiful parquet flooring all needs sanding down, new blinds/curtains. There's no excuse we've had lockdown for nearly two years no thought towards improving the environment or food. Why aren't they cooking with local produce ? I'll finish now, but needless to say we won't be going back !
