K D Deli - Fairview

Sorry to say but this K& D location is now closed. They are still on Taft Ave in Poughkeepsie and on Violet Ave in Hyde Park. Support this small local business, even in the throes of decreased business due to college closures(thanks Covid 19) they were providing FREE lunches to area children who were dependent on school lunch and breakfast after the schools closed( with no plans for the needy childrens breakfasts and lunches by the districts).

If it was possible to give this deli and every other K D deli around here and in the history of mankind negative stars, I 'd do it. You call yourselves a deli, you guys should be ashamed of yourselves. This was the complete last straw of going to your dogsh*t of a deli . You guys are an absolute joke. I ask for a roast beef, turkey and ham and I get this bullsh*t. Are you guys for real? Gtfoh. Go out of business already.

HORRIBLE attitude by the guy whom I believe his name is Rob. Just horrible. Venting to the customers about his co workers that call in sick to work or just plain ole ' don 't show up for their shift. And then griping about how awful it is working for K D period! (Good Lord, really? In fact, the other day he was so angry that he left us customers just waiting and waiting and waiting to get rung up at the counter while he took a phone call (which he later told us was someone calling in and after he hung up on the person, he stormed away into the back room, audibly telling everyone that he is so ready to walk out that back door , all the while we 're just standing there waiting for someone to ring us up! The guy in front of the line yelled Is ANYONE going to come over here and work? and the other guy making orders said I would man, but I 'm not allowed to handle the register. I literally was just about to walk out and leave my goods on the counter, when he finally came over with a scowl on his face that it made us all feel very uncomfortable. I 'm amazed this place continues to stay in business.

One star. I asked for a sandwich with no mayonnaise I said it a few times even. The guy even repeated it. And yet I get home and my sandwich is covered in mayonnaise. And I try calling and no one even picks up the phone. Don't waste your time going here.

I ordered three grilled ham and cheese sandwiches with extra ham. One with Swiss cheese and the two others American cheese.I repeated my order several times, even had the lady repeat the order for accuracy. When the order came, it was messed up. I called to inform them of their error. The same lady who took the order was the one who prepared it. So much for communication skills. This star was generous of me, because at this moment the deserve none.
