Bidrage med feedbackThis is truly the best Caribbean bbq restaurant I’ve ever been to. I grew up in a Trinidad home and this food makes me feel like I was a kid again eating this; truly exquisite I would give ten stars if that was possible.
I 'm only giving them 4 stars because having been there just once.., SO FAR, there is so much more to try. (Recently amended) Jubie greeted me with a big welcoming smile from behind the counter when l walked in. He pointed out every item in the hot case and as l pondered, he described his family business history. Today l had the Pompono fish plate with side of pulou (sp) rice, lentils, and l added coleslaw too. It was outstanding! Everything was good! The fish was delicious! And the portion was generous. I couldn 't leave without a side of ribs to go, but l 'm still so full l haven 't tried them yet. I WILL be going back to see Jubie again soon. I can 't wait to have a tall glass of his family 's secret recipe Rum Punch , ready made and served from a fountain dispenser behind the counter. I fully expect to add a 5th star very soon! Edit I have retuned several times now, and have enjoyed everything l 've ordered. The ribs and chicken are both delicious. The bbq sauce is sweet and unique! The pompono is still my favorite, but l feel more like a carnivore sometimes too. The rum punch is a refreshing family recipe that compliments the food well. It 's definitely worth trying. I have amended my original rating to 5 stars! Jubie 's is good food! It 's very unique! Plus, Jubie and the staff are so friendly!
A small restaurant serves good food. Many returned customers come here for lunch and dinner. The amount of food is great; the salad is quite good. The BBQ meat is kind of dry, but still delicious.
Ja Jubies! As I did not know until now that there is authentic Caribbean cuisine, 15 minutes from my house, is beyond me:0 Jubie's exterior is a small parking lot (with street parking around. The grill where Jubie is boiled left and there is also a toilet room. The interior itself is smaller but bright and truly domestic feeling. We arrived at a Saturday at noon. Jubie was still at the end cooking some of the foods. Sure to say we couldn't have fresh meals!! My friend and I both ordered half the Ruck chicken plate; $8.50 for fall from fork tender and damp jerk chicken and two sides. We both chose the saffron rice (with red beans, peas and carrots YUM! and Mac and cheese. Ughhh the Mac was perfectly cooked with the most delicious flavors. A true Caribbean joy! Don't forget the rump. I don't know what's in it, but it's delicious! Can't wait until 2nd round!
Another jewel for the Everett area. Jubie's food is delicious. I loved the corn on the cob in coconut milk and rice. The BBQ is also delicious. Perfectly balanced and very fillable. The ambience is cool for a nice lunch or a relaxed dinner. She'll go back. I had a proposal and this is to ask them to keep all sides separated or in separate compartments of the dish so that Coleslaw juices do not mix with the BBQ and it turns into a huge soup. I hope they also begin to get proper records and not just the disposable kind.
