Little Island - Evanston

I went to this restaurant like a month ago and I just felt like writing this review. The restaurant is a small spot I found in Evanston. The place was really small, but it was clean and it was the only spot I found that was near my location, so I did not bother looking for another one because I liked the menu they had. Nice little place for gyros and burgers. I think they're good with shakes too.

The best fries anywhere. Very good dogs and burgers too. It's a tiny space. The owner is typically to busy to hold your hand while ordering (deducted 1 star) so ordering ahead is best.

Absolutely awsome char jumbo dogs and skin on cheese fries (made with real cheddar cheese) are the best in Evanston. Which is saying a lot given that I grew up in the heart of cheese country, Wisconsin.

I grew up in this area and always knew this as a solid joint. That hasn't changed. I recently visited from the east coast, with my daughter, hitting several venues in search of an exceptional Chicago style dog, and Little Island was the best of them all. Excellent price, too, and lots of other stuff on the menu.
