The Jericho Café Tavern - Essex

Partner and I went there for brunch Sunday. Unfortunately it did not meet our expectations as Vermonters. The coffee was either poor bean quality or extremely weak. The menu is for only a little food. I ordered the salmon benedict and the englishmuffin was soft and chewy, not toasted at all. The egg was barely cooked and overly runny. The sauce was not very flavorful.Most disappointing though was the side of “home fries” which were actually just slices of potato but were extremely thin andmostly just crisps. The portion was also very skimpy. I think our waitress meant well but it just took her too long to bring thecheck.

Only half review as I just ordered food. It's okay, not bad for visitors. A couple of good vegetarian options. This restaurant has one closed seating and that table makes you feel isolated from the crowd. (Yeah we got seat there) Bar lookscool music was there They got good desserts 5/5

The food and service at JCAT is phenomenal. I adore the staff and food. The sticky chicken with soba noodles is amazing as is their creme brulee and pretzels. Get there right at 5pm to get their specials fresh. Love you all!

The service is always great and quick even when they are busy. I haven't been disappointed by any meal and the specials are usually great! Parking can be a mess depending on the night or event.

A tad pricy that you can get in Burlington proper, but the food was still great. Love the Calamari and Reuben and I do always stop if I am going through the area. Plenty of parking and fun live events. I would recommend if youre in Jericho!
