Ollies - Esperance

New owners excellent great service, fresh healthy delicious food & generous portions feels like being back in Europe

I was in Esperance for business and came in for breakfast. We visited Sat am at around 930am. It was not busy as there were at least three spare tables. The person who took my order barely acknowledged me. We ordered 2 breakfast meals and 2 coffees for $62. The person behind the counter was unable to provide a tax invoice for business tax/ GST purposes. It took 15 minutes for coffee to arrive. After 40 mins there was no sign of any food. My husband asked politely and was told it was being prepared. It arrived 5 mins later STONE COLD. We decided enough was enough and left.... I don't fancy food poisoning. I told the manager how upset I was and all he could manage was I'm sorry. I suggested maybe a refund was in order... $50 was begrudgingly refunded... so we paid $12 for 2 coffees and wasted 45 minutes of our lives. Overpriced. Poor food safety. Terrible Service. I am still sitting in this cafe.I am furious.I ordered an Omlette and orange juice and it was 36 dollars. It took an hour and ten minutes. My friends beside me are STILL waiting on their breakfast. Nearly 90 minutes after ordering they would rather leave than pay now.That price with such low standard service.Will never come here again.

This place has such a good selection of food. If you are looking for vegan or vegetarian options this is the place to go. The food is delicious. Very impressed.

The food has a healthy options focus, smoothies, all sorts of tea,the takeaway lunch boxes looked fabulous interesting, probably very tasty and healthy. She had scrambled, as always, bacon and 2 great hash browns. I had a Paleo big breakfast - tasty fresh and huge. No they won't do half serves nor can you have a brown box to take the other half away! Lucky I had a plastic bag with me. If a bit pricey the food is great. Sadly the coffee is dreadful. Give it a miss and go to theCoffee Cat for great coffee and friendly service, both missing at Ollies.
