Morrisons Ilkeston Cafe - Erewash

Up until now Ilkeston Morrison's cafe has been high on my list for a good and quick breakfast. I haven't been for a few months but called in for breakfast today and was quite disappointed. Firstly I had to rummage through the cutlery to find clean looking knife and fork and when the food arrived it was luke warm and definitely not what it was in the past. I know it is a simple supermarket cafe and not a restaurant but, to me it has definitely slipped and with all the very good rural cafes that have sprung up in the area recently a decline in standards is unexpected

Vast improvement on my last visit, dining area well spaced out and spotlessly clean with warm greeting from the staff and quick service.

Not bad food, but not the best, tbh you get what you pay for. Service could be better as items were missing on several occasions. But for a supermarket cafe, its a quick bite to eat.

On the menu they had full English breakfast but I got to the till they said they stop serving breakfast at 2 pm so why do they have it on the menu then if they stop serving the all day breakfast at 2 pm I will not be eating here again !!!

Breakfast visit with the family on a lovely 'soon to be sunny ' winters morning. Attractive, well laid out, very clean and nicely decorated cafe. One could almost not be in a supermarket! Delicious veggie breakfasts which arrived very quickly and served with a smile (extra marks for that! . It 's all good....
