Bidrage med feedbackFor years I have been looking for a good restaurant near Los Angeles Airport LAX, one that would go well, alone or with a group of people. Sounds like it's easy to find. It wasn't. Daily Grill has a restaurant at the international terminal that fits the bill. It closed, and parking was a mess. The newly opened Paul Martin American Bistro is now my lunch or dinner restaurant, convenient to LAX. It's Rosecrans, around the corner of Aviation. Door to door Travel time from airport to Paul Martin American Bistro is about 10 minutes, give or take depending on traffic. Also near the airport ambience, quality and taste are not affected. It is the second location for the neighborhood restaurant of Roseville, CA near Sacramento). The huge 7200 square meter space feels warm and welcoming. It has high ceilings, wooden beams and exposed stones. I loved the huge lampshades hanging on the ceilings; my eyes went up to admire them. There are large tables with comfortable seating and a comfortable bar area. The menus focus on organic, sustainable, fresh and local ingredients, including fresh bread and butter. There are a variety of options to choose from. Check out the lunch and dinner menus. I asked the friendly waiter about suggestions and he ran over the Bistro Burger $11.95). That was, I wasn't really in the mood for a burger, next time. Instead, I ordered the delicious warm Bacon spinach salad with Redwoodhill Farms feta and roasted pine nuts $8.95). The warm dressage was so sweet of the caramelized onions. I was surprised how fast I disappeared. I also had one side of the Mac Cheese $4.95), good but not my Fave, a little too rich. The menu or waiter did not mention it bacon in it. Now I love bacon, but the bacon in Mac was not crispy enough. Come to think I'd rather ham or prosciutto in Mac cheese. Alli411 Tips 1. Free parking during the day. 2. From 3 p.m. they have the happy hour of Paul Martin. Wines, cocktails and appetizers are $4 during these times. The Slow Cooked St. Louis Pork Ribs with Apple Slave and Coffee-Chili molasses diving sauce sounds really delicious. And the smoked Salmon Lettuce Cups with homemade salmon and cut apples are fun. Brick Chicken was amazingly tasteful, moist, the jus was perfect. Buttercake was cooked in the house and so delicious. The staff was friendly and chatty and took our allergies into consideration with any item we place, which added a plus. Manager Oscar was understanding the raspberry martini, which was amazing that he is great what he does.
Went out for a quick dinner. Very cozy restaurant with dim lighting inside. Beautifly done interior. Great atmosphere. I had a tasty coctail to start and bbq ribs with fries and brussel sprouts. It was truly delicious. File mignon was also great so was the blackened ribeye. Service is prompt and professional. Seems like they have a great happy hour as well! Its a pretty spacious restaurant with a large bar so it doesn?t feel crowded at all.
Always have a beautiful anniversary celebration with my husband at Paul Martin's. The atmosphere is calming, the seating is spacious and the ceilings are high. There are beautiful light fixtures and a small bar with a TV. Steak is always cooked to order, filet is 8oz cooked to perfection. Sides were tasty and generous in portion. Draft brew is crisp and cold. Will return for our anniversary for years to come!
Made reservations online. Showed up 30 minutes early and was seated immediately. Our waiter, Ian, was fantastic. Had the cheddar biscuits and calamari for appetizers. For dinner we had the braised pork (excellent) and the salmon (also excellent). Mac n Cheese was good too! Lastly absolutely enjoyed the butter cake for dessert.
