Katsura - El Cajon

It was supposed to be a wonderful evening, but unfortunately, the restaurant ruined it. I took my wife there for our Valentine's Day date and it turned out to be a terrible decision. Firstly, it took almost 30 minutes for them to acknowledge our presence and take our drink order. Then, it took nearly 45 minutes to bring our food. The hostess ended up serving us because none of the waiters or waitresses attended to our table. I had to ask for the bill from three different people, including the manager, and it still wasn't brought to us. The food was cold and the flavor was disappointing. This was the worst restaurant experience I've had to date, and the fact that I'm writing a review for the first time says a lot. I do not recommend this restaurant for anything. There are better places to dine in El Paso, even the sushi at Albertsons might be a better option.

We are new to the area, and decided to try out Katsura, and we were not disappointed! Wonderful staff, excellent food, and great atmosphere! We will definitely be returning!

Average sushi. pretty bad service (needed another server or 2)

It was supposed to be a great night but thanks to the restaurant it wasn’t. I took my wife there for our valentines date and it was the worst decision I could’ve made. First of all it took them almost minutes to notice that we were there and to take our order for drinks. Then it took the almost minutes to bring us our food. The hostess had to serve us because not even one waitress or waiter came to our table. At the end I had to ask for the check to different people, even to the manager and she didn’t bring it. The food was cold and the flavor wasn’t great. I think this has been the worst experience I’ve had at a restaurant. To even say this is the first time I write a review that has to mean something. I don’t recommend this restaurant for anything. There is better places here in El Paso. Even the Albertsons sushi might be better

The food was good. The martini was good. This is a good neighborhood restaurant with an eager staff and a decent kitchen chef. You won't go wrong coming here for a break from home dining
