Bidrage med feedbackIf you are a true Albertan looking for a great steak this is your place. We 've been coming here with customers since 1987 and family ever since. One thing I will say is we generally only go on the nights that 'Terry the steak guy ' is on. Definitely on Fridays. The Coliseum is one of the few places that still serves a really great aged and cut in house NY Striploin. Both: 6 Escargot to share +11 , 2 x house salad sides and platter sautéd mushrooms with main +7 . Cal 7oz NY Steak with steak fries 28 (or spaghetti +3 medium. Me: 12oz NY 38 medium (or 16oz TBone +1 with a baked potato for leftovers warmed up Sunday. Cost: 11+7+28+38= 84 88 plus tip. : We 've only been disappointed once in '21 I think after covid restrictions were lifted and oddly enough everything served looked exactly the same but utterly tasteless. It was possibly around the time when the senior restaurant owner was celebrating a birthday I believe, Ty for the birthday cake for our dessert. Interestingly, in hindsight, we think I, but likely both of us, had the original respiratory effected strain of covid on Dec. 26/19 that affected both our tastes for some time afterwards. So there is a chance that we were actually the problem. My apologies to the restaurant if that was the case.
Went for pizza today and it was not bad. Crust was a little doughy for my liking but great flavour of the cheese and sauce. Service was really good as well. Price is a little high.
We go here once a month and have never had a bad meal. This restaurant has been serving customers for over forty years. Easy to see why they have been in business so long because their food is always great and the service is always excellent!!!
Our meal was wonderful. I started with escargot with cheese it was outstanding. They are not skimpy on their garlic. Then we had a ceasar salad again, delicious and not for those who are afraid of garlic plus garlic bread to soak up the sauce and leftover cheese. Then we had special which included a 7 oz New York Lobster Tail with sauteed mushrooms Steak and lobster were done to perfection. Complemented with a nice red Graffigna Malbec from Argentina. Serving staff is friendly and helpful.
All I can say was Wow to the spaghetti , wish there was one on the south side .my husband though thought they would have had real beef patties not frozen . the waitress was a sweetheart
