Camelia City Deaux-nuts - Eden Isle

Went there all the time when it was Bakers donuts and Mrs Cathy was the owner. The donuts were so much better. Now I drive to metairie to the bakers donuts on Jefferson.

Very clean, friendly staff. We love local! Unfortunately, the other doughnut place on Gause is too filthy to provide any longer.

Despite the other rave reviews, I can only judge on the one item I bought. One of my favorite pastries from a doughnut shop is an apple fritter (or banana when I can find one). I'm usually not on that side of town, but decided to give them a try. First, a fritter should at least have crispy edges. This was a thick mass with no chance of that. It basically reminded me of a cinnamon roll with bits of apple. And it really wasn't a knock my socks off cinnamon roll, either. Maybe their other donuts are outstanding, but I rate the apple fritter a fail. Also cost about 50% more than where I usually go.

The doughnut hole king cake was a hit at work. Highly recommend giving them a try. They are perfect for birthday party’s and other events as well. Give Camellia City Deaux-Nuts a call and order one. You won’t regret it..

I can’t say enough good things about this donut shop and their staff. the donuts are always fresh and so yummy. The girls that work there are so sweet and efficient. The donut shop is so inviting and clean.
