Bidrage med feedbackWe always enjoyed dining at the Living Room, but we simply forgot about it, opting to dine closer to Sag Harbor. We all get lazy when it comes to driving out east. During the recent Film Festival, we had company, and I thought they would like the atmosphere. We met them at the bar on a Saturday night, and of course, the place was buzzing! Instead of it seeming too loud, it was actually fun having that vibe in October, not July. Nice to extend the season! The bar is very cozy, with a fire blazing in the hearth and the crowd, particularly stylish that night. We were given a table in the garden room. We had the beet salad (large enough to share), fluke, shishito peppers, salmon and I don't recall the last entree that was ordered. Everyone enjoyed it, so much so that when i was choosing a restaurant to celebrate a birthday the end of October, we returned. This time, I requested a table in the cozy main room. We had a bottle of Montrachet, which was quite nice, enjoyed the fluke and shishito peppers again, shared the escargot, tried the duck confit, shrimp cocktail and pasta with mushrooms. We managed to save room for the seriously rich chocolate dessert to hold the birthday candle. That was too rich for me, but if you're a chocolate lover, then go for it! Next time, i'll pass on dessert. The Living Room is now back on my radar. Our guests had not been there before, and they loved it.
We called here whilst staying with my sister and her husband for a drink and nibbles. What a delightful place, beautiful decor lovely furniture, unusual. We had lovely cocktails and a lovely bottle of white wine with tempura rock shrimp and fries, sadly one of the reasons for going was for oysters but there were not any left. The staff were very pleasant and accommodating.
This place has photo art all over the grounds, a champagne bar and slow cooking. The best part is they have their own dessert chef that comes to your table with your order. Staff is amazing.
We had a wonderful dinner in the garden. They have changed the menu and it was absolutely delicious. Fresh seasonal vegetables and fruits were used to make creative dishes. The service was perfect. I've been to most restaurants this season and this was by far the best meal. Highlights- chicken, lentil risotto and peaches w mint. Also excellent for Gluten Free celiac
Horrible place! I purchased a Groupon in March worth $100 for a high tea for 4 friends. I called the day before letting them know we wanted to come in and make reservations for the High Tea. The woman on the phone said we didn't need one just come in. My friends and I took off from work. It took 2- 1/2 hours to get there. We gave them the Groupon and then the manager approached us and said they were no longer accepting Groupons for High Teas. (NOTE: it did not Expire). I explained to the manager Ben that we called the day before to confirm, took off from work and drove 2 1/2 hours to get there. He said to call Groupon for a refund. I was very disappointed that he did not try to accommodate us in anyway as to offer the same discount for other food if they did not have the High Tea. It didn't matter to Ben that we called the day before, took off from work and drove 2 1/2 hours to get there. This is poor management! Hamburgers on the menu were $24. Stay away from this overpriced restaurant. They don't accommodate their patrons.
