Critchley Hackle Lodge - Dullstroom

With a gorgeous lake view, many people are likely to visit this restaurant for its stunning scenery. I ordered the chicken chips, which could have been juicier and more tender. However, I would still return for drinks because the decor is lovely.

We were in the lodge and had dinner in the restaurant. we were well received when entering and the service was good with stunning views of the pond that was eating okay. the nurseries were a generous part and well received. the ochs tail was ok, but 1 piece (the big 1) was understated. the lamb was the best. it was well cooked, paired with maic and other vegetables. the malva was sweet (as it should be, more custard would have been served in a bowl, not the flat plate that makes it hard to eat) the price-performance ratio is fair and it is a certain one has to try if they stay out of place.

We had a wonderful breakfast at this restaurant with stunning views. The staff was attentive and friendly. I highly recommend this place to anyone visiting the area.

We decided last minute to stop by this restaurant for lunch and we were pleasantly surprised. The views of the dam with ducks roaming around were beautiful and peaceful. The service was quick and friendly. I tried the trout fishcake and it was delicious. My companion, Stuart, enjoyed the burger as well. There's nothing better than good food, a glass of wine, and a great view!
